Spaghetti

Ann Holiday’s Quick Cheese Spaghetti (Skillet spaghetti)

 

For Kate, who lost her gas & electric company copy. Thanks to Nancy Meyer for sending this in. The tomatoes, I would assume are 3 cups.
I’ll have to try this – it sounds yummy.

1 lb ground beef
3 tablespoons shortening
½ cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
4 ounces spaghetti
1 #303 can tomatoes
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoon salt
1 can cheese soup
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon oregano

Brown meat in skillet over medium heat or in 325 degree electric skillet. Add onion and celery. Break uncooked spaghetti and scatter over top. Add seasonings to tomatoes and pour over spaghetti. Add soup, undiluted. Cover, reduce heat to low or 200 degree and cook approximately 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
