SCHOOL SNACK TIPS

TIPS FROM RITA’S KITCHEN:

When making snacks for little ones, always check with the teacher to see if there are children who are allergic to peanuts, or if there are any diabetic children or children with other food allergies.

Even treats containing peanut oil can trigger an allergic reaction in children with peanut allergies, and diabetic children want to take part in the fun, too, so make sure snacks are appropriate.

Don’t single these kids out, though – be relaxed and try to make their treats look as much like the other kids’ treats as possible.
