WHIPPING CREAM POUND CAKE

 

Cream together:
1 cup Crisco
2 cups sugar
4 eggs, one at a time

Then whisk together:
2-2/3 cups flour
½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder

Blend together:
1 cup milk
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Add flour mixture to Crisco mixture alternately with milk mixture, and beat after each addition, ending with flour mixture.

Pour into greased or sprayed Bundt or angel food cake pan and bake in preheated 350-degree oven for 45-60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out almost clean. Let cool for a few minutes. Run knife around inside edges to loosen cake and turn out on platter.
