Use light or dark corn syrup. Dark gives a richer flavor.
Pastry for 9” crust
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
1 cup corn syrup
Couple dashes salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon flour
1/2 to 1 cup pecans, chopped or in halves
Preheat oven to 350.
Combine everything well.
Pour into crust. Bake 45-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center
comes out clean.
