Party Mix

SPICY SOUTHWESTERN PARTY MIX

This is a take-off of the cereal snack we've all grown to love.

6 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons chili powder or to taste
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1 box, 12oz, square corn cereal
4 cups mini pretzels
2-1/2 cups dry roasted peanuts
2 cups pecans
2 cups pumpkin seeds

Preheat oven to 300. Over low heat, cook butter, Worcestershire, brown sugar, chili powder, salt and cayenne pepper until butter melts. In a large roasting pan at least 3-4" deep, combine cereal, pretzels, nuts and pumpkin seeds. Drizzle butter mixture over and toss to coat. Bake, stirring every 15 minutes, for 45 minutes or until heated through. Remove and cool. Makes about 20 cups. Store in airtight container.

Enjoy this spicy party mix.
