How to Grill Mushrooms

Grilled Mushrooms

6 Portobello Mushroom Caps
Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
6 thick slices of Italian or French Bread
Garlic Cloves
Parsley

Portobello are the best for grilling. A good meat substitute or side dish.
Brush 6 Portobello mushrooms on both sides with olive oil and season to taste with salt and pepper. Over a medium hot fire, grill until seared and tender, turning once, about 5 minutes per side. While mushrooms are grilling, brush 6 thick slices Italian or French bread with olive oil and rub the bread with cloves of garlic. Grill to taste. Slice mushrooms and place on large platter, garnished with fresh parsley, chopped. Place toast around platter to soak up mushroom juices.
