I know the name is weird, but Halloween is just around the corner, and these are absolutely addictive. I have my friend and colleague, Jeff Wyckoff to thank for the recipe. He makes a double batch, so feel free to do so.
Honestly, these are so addictive! And good keepers. The reason they’re called “Unbroom” sticks? No “broom” bottom, just the handle/stick!
1 bag pretzel sticks, 15 oz
6 oz butter flavored popcorn oil (I use Orville Redenbacher)
1 tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning
2 teaspoons powdered ranch dressing mix
Put the pretzel sticks in a big bowl.
Whisk together the lemon pepper, dressing mix and oil – it won’t all dissolve..
Pour over pretzels in big bowl, stirring to coat well.
Let sit 10 minutes. Stir again. Let sit 5 minutes. Stir again. Let sit 5 minutes. Stir again.
Pack into baggies, leaving any leftover seasoning in bowl.
I like to use my hands to do this so that I can keep as much seasoning on the pretzels as possible. Let the bags stay open for two hours, then seal. The pretzels will continue to soak up the seasoning. Store at room temperature, covered.
