GINGER TEA:

I make this often in the winter at the onset of colds, or just when we’re feeling a bit under the weather.

Ginger tea is healthful in that the ginger is calming to the stomach, the red pepper helps you breathe and clear your lungs, the honey soothes the throat, and the lemon juice provides vitamin C.

Steep the following in each cup of boiling water for 3-5 minutes:

1 tablespoon fresh gingeroot, smashed (leave peel on)
Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
Honey to taste
Dash of red pepper, ground

Strain and enjoy!
