DRIED HERBS

Dry Spices and Herbs - are they still fresh?

This is the time of year when marathon baking/cooking sessions are the norm.

But before you use those spices and herbs that have been in the cabinet since last year at this time, do the sniff test: Open and if you don't smell a fragrant aroma wafting out, don't use them - they're old and won't flavor.
