Easy Halloween Cookies

Did you know Halloween is the second most decorated and third most celebrated “holiday”? If you have kids in school, then you know you’ll probably be asked to help bring treats to celebrate their annual Halloween party. Here is a perennial favorite, geared to little kids.

EASY BLACK CAT COOKIES

1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/3 cup water
2 eggs
1 box chocolate cake mix

Popsicle sticks
Sugar
Candy corn, red hots, candy decorations

Preheat oven to 350. Beat peanut butter with water and eggs. Add cake mix and blend. Form into 1-1/2” balls and place on cookie sheet. Push in a popsicle stick.

Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar. Pinch two “ears” at top of cookie. Press fork into dough to form whiskers on either side of nose. Bake 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately add candy corn eyes and red hot nose. Makes about 2-3 dozen.
