Bananas Foster is one of those classic desserts. It reminds you of eating at a high-end restaurant. The kind that offered velvet booths, formal servers, and Bananas Foster.
4 ripe, firm bananas, peeled and left whole
1/4 cup honey
Brush bananas with honey.
Arrange over hot coals and grill just until marked. Turn and grill until bottom is marked. This can be done several hours ahead. Cut into thick slices right before adding to sauce.

1 stick unsalted
butter
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup banana liqueur
2 tablespoons light or dark rum
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon plus extra for sprinkling on top
Melt butter, sugar, liqueur, rum and cinnamon in skillet. After it starts
to bubble, add bananas, sautéing just until tender and coated. Divide
between glasses or bowls and top with a scoop of ice cream. Sprinkle with
