The McDonald's Frappe recipe copycat version has been a big hit. Readers and subscribers to the AboutEating recipe newsletter have requested the frappe recipe since McDonald's introduced their mocha frappe. How about this on a blistering hot day or when you're just looking for something sweet?
Reader Tom Ohmer and many others have been looking for an easy frappe recipe like McDonalds. When I called McDonalds, I got a long list of ingredients. It started out with normal items like water, cream, sugar, milk, coffee extract, Dutched cocoa, etc. Then it got dicey with words only a chemist could understand. Years ago in cooking school, we made a base for fun drinks and it is similar to recipes I found for this drink. So here’s my take on it.
Hi Rita- I love your column and when I saw you reference a frappe recipe
like McDonald's today, I couldn't believe that I missed it when published.
Would it be possible to get this recipe? Thanks- keep up the great work
on your column- I often use your recipes- they are great!!!
Christin
