Double Chocolate Pie Recipe
This is so good that no one will suspect you started with a box mix. Currently my husband, Frank’s fave.
1 chocolate cookie pie shell or your own pie crust homemade and baked
1 box, 5.25 oz, cook & serve chocolate pudding mix
1 egg
Milk as needed (about 2-2/3 cup or so)
1-1/2 -2 cups good quality chocolate chips
Whipped cream
Follow package directions except before measuring liquid, put a whole egg in the measuring cup and beat with a fork. Then add enough milk to make what the recipe says for the liquid, usually 3 cups. Continue with directions. After pudding has cooked but while it’s still in the pan, pour in the chocolate chips. Whisk until smooth. Pour into prepared shell. Refrigerate several hours before cutting. Garnish with whipped cream.
