Apples are full of vitamins and minerals and a good source of fiber. They're affordable, taste great and very versitile.
You can use any type of apple in this apple chip recipe. I like red delicious, but the recipe works just as well with gala, macintosh or jonathans. If you like a sour apple, feel free to use Granny Smith apples in your chips.

Cooking Spray
To make apple chips, preheat your oven to 200 degrees. Slice the apples in to thin slices with a kitchen knife or a mandolin. A mandolin is a slicer that’s kind of like an old wash board. It has a very sharp blade that you move the apple across to cut perfect slices. But be careful, not only are mandolins good at cutting apples – they’re even better at slicing fingers! No matter how many apple chips you want to make, using a mandolin to slice your apples will make quick work of them.
After you cut the apples into thin slices, coat them with lemon juice to keep them white. Lemon juice keeps the fruit from browning Next, spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Then, arrange the slices in to a single layer. Make sure that the slices don’t overlap.
